A deposit of $50 is required for bow orders, and ensures your place on the waiting list. As this money is used to purchase materials, it is not refundable if you cancel your order. Because every bow is made custom to your order, I do not stock any bows. My waiting period is currently 8 to 10 months. Bows ordered with Sinew backing require several weeks longer as the sinew must season before use. Your patience and understanding are appreciated.
No deposit is required for orders of Arrows, strings or leather goods. Most of these items can be sent within 4 weeks from order date. If you are new to archery and need help deciding on a type of bow, draw weight, draw length, spine of arrows, or any technical matters you would like clarification on, please feel free to write or call me.

Payment must be made in full before shipment, and can be made by check or money order in US dollars. I no longer accept credit cards. Every bow that leaves my shop is tested with at least 100 shots. Any failure in the wood will show up by then and with proper care, you are assured of a durable bow that will last many years. Bows must never be drawn farther than the originally specified draw length or left strung when not being used. It is normal for all wooden bows take a set (follow the string) when unstrung. How much of a set a bow takes will depend on conditions and treatment, (e.g. exposure to moisture, forgetting to unstring the bow after use). Due to the vicissitudes of natural materials and circumstances beyond my control, I cannot accept responsibility or liability for broken bows or arrows. That being said, be it known that I pride myself on being able to satisfy every customer.
Shipping charges include: costs of packing materials, insurance and fees collected by the carrier (UPS or USPS), and are added to the price of the order. Because of their length, bows ship as oversize parcels, adding considerably to the cost.
Domestic (US) Shipping: for bows $35.00; for a dozen arrows $15.00; for Quivers $10.00; for small items, strings, points,tabs, FlaxWax, bracers, etc. $5.00.
International shipping of bows will be by Postal Service or UPS Expedited. Estimates on request.
Bows and Arrows are potentially dangerous weapons. Neither Ancient Archery LLC nor Thomas C. Boehm will accept any responsibility or liability for any loss, damage, or injury resulting from the use of any products sold. Use is solely at consumer's risk. Knowledge of and adherence to local laws and/or statutes is the responsibility of the consumer. Must be 18 or older to purchase weapons.
